New Mexico’s Push for a Nicotine-Free Future
Across the state, our campaigns are driving a real change around nicotine use. Each campaign addresses a different challenge by supporting youth, shaping policy, and helping people quit. These movements were created to make an impact and create a momentum in schools, communities, and homes. For support, we are offering a variety of resources which are easy to use and to help spread the message.
24/7 New Mexico
The 24/7 campaign is an initiative to help all schools in New Mexico adopt, implement, and enforce comprehensive nicotine-free policies. 24/7 helps New Mexico school districts understand what the requirements are for a comprehensive nicotine-free policy, provides support for passing a new policy through the school board, and provides ongoing technical assistance.
No Minor Sale
No Minor Sale is a youth-led campaign working to prevent the illegal sales of tobacco and nicotine products to minors. Students and advocates across New Mexico are addressing the issue. Sparking community conversations and making it clear that underage sales won’t be ignored.
Live Vape Free
Live Vape Free offers personalized support for teens who want to quit. It also offers tools and resources for parents looking to start the conversation about being vape free. The program includes one-on-one coaching, interactive activities, and downloadable materials to help families overcome nicotine addiction with confidence and care.
Evolvement NM
Evolvement is a statewide movement powered by high school students who want to make a difference. Members will lead campaigns, meet with decision-makers, and push back against Big Tobacco’s influence. Along the way, students will build skills, make connections, and learn what it means to be a leader.
Quit Now NM
Quit Now NM provides free, confidential support by phone, online, and text. With trained coaches, quit planning tools, and medication support. This program helps people of all ages build a quit plan that works for them so they can succeed. Available in English and Spanish. Additional help is also available for Native communities and those living with chronic health conditions.
Smoke Free at Home
Smoke Free at Home NM supports multi-unit housing properties in adopting smoke and vape-free policies. Property owners and managers can get access to signage, templates, and training. Residents can learn more about their rights and how to protect their families and pets from secondhand smoke.
